Our twin-screw extruder gelatinize starch by heat generated by frictional extrusion of the screws. Then starch is extruded from a mould by high pressure, and the material instantly expands into pregelatinized starch pellet as soon as it enters the atmosphere. The modified starch pellets are dried, pulverized and screened to obtain pregelatinized modified starch.
